We built the tool we needed.
The same approach we bring to every client: start with what’s frustrating, then build the simplest thing that fixes it.
- 01What was frustrating
Trish was keeping the family’s meal plan, recipes and grocery lists in different places and rewriting the shopping list every week. Deciding what was for dinner was one more job at the end of a long day, especially with different diets at the same table.
- 02The plan
One simple tool that connects meals, ingredients and the grocery list. No pantry tracking and no complicated setup: pick the meals, mark what you need, and go shopping.
- 03What we built
A complete product, from the app to the website around it:
- A web app that works in any browser, with nothing to download
- Weekly meal planning with a saved recipe library
- One-tap grocery lists, sorted by department and store
- Smart search by the ingredients you already have
- Gluten-free, low-carb, keto and regular meals in one plan
- Cook mode that keeps the recipe on screen while you cook
- A content site with recipes, ready-made weekly menus and meal planning guides
- Sign-up with a 30-day free trial, then a simple monthly plan
- 04Where it is now
MyGroceryPlan keeps our own kitchen running, and it’s open to families across Canada. It keeps growing with new recipes, done-for-you weekly menus and practical guides that help people find it.
Dinner gets planned once a week. The grocery list takes a few taps.
